Turkey Sept 24 - We have only one cabin left available for our September 24 - October 4, 2008 trip to Turkey. This is a truly wonderful trip: 3 nights in Istanbul and then a week cruising the Mediterranean coast of Southern Turkey in a luxurious 28 metre/90 foot all-wood two masted ketch/gulet. On our daily walks we may stumble upon isolated Greek and Roman ruins, stop for lunch at a local farmhouse, or simply enjoy the silence of the wild and beautiful countryside. The boat moves along and picks us up from the beach at the end of our walk. Corsica June 7 - This is a brand new trip -- so new that we have not completed all the research. Virginie is going to put the final details together in April when she will spend two weeks on the island doing all the walks and fine-tuning the trip. Algeria Nov 2008 - I went to the Tadrat desert last November with Virginie and some French friends. Wow! It was fantastic to step out of the quotidian and immerse oneself in a completely different environment. The desert cleans your mind of all clutter. It constantly amazes you with its rich colours, textures, and in the case of this part of Algeria, with its culture. Local Touareg guides invite you into their world, and after a week of sharing their fire you leave a different person. If you are up for an amazing week of sleeping under the stars, walking amongst towering orange sand dunes, and bathing behind a scrubby bush with half a litre of water a day, then this is the trip for you.
